ill PM you my number
Boost i'd set it at 10PSI max
If you upgrade to 88+ TI specs you can upgrade the turbo, on the pre-87 TIs I think your stuck with the Garrett T03. Which isnt a bad turbo, just the intake setup is restrictive, my 87 CSX has a TII spec Garrett T03 stock(as do all Shelby's excluding the 89 CSX-VNT). _________________ Clayton

a TIII is possible, ive kicked around that idea with the CSX. If you can find a complete car do it, #1 rule do not piece together one of those engines lol. a complete engine that may need a rebuild can be close to $2K _________________ Clayton

where are you going for work?
when you get her, let me know when you want to do that head gasket, its about a weekend job.
pull head
surface head
clean block surface
spray and install gasket
install head
time it
start engine
let engine idle to normal temps
shut off engine
let seat overnight
double check head blot torque specs the following day
reinstall valve cover
that's the quick way of explaining it lol _________________ Clayton

yea just swap the intake manifolds and computer. also since its an 85 you need a newer style distributor. you can get on in a salvage from any 86+ turbo car. they are all the same. i would stick with the 8 valve setup because they are dirt cheap to maintain and make pretty damn quick. the only difference in the shelby engines was the tune, intercooler stock, and intake manifold. oh and the valve cover said shelby. thats it. just get a newer style intake (1 piece will do just fine) and a computer and a dizzy and some time. i can guide ya through it if need be. for the record i run 20+psi of boost on a fel pro head gasket and don't have a problem. 200whp isn't hard to do with a newer intake manifold and some sort of intercooler (ebay ftw) stock fuel system can handle about 15psi. biggest cork is the exhaust. _________________ 86 Omni GLH-T satin black non-vtec intercooled, rfl bov,& exhaust. 2220lbs flyin j scale verified.
